WELCOME to the NEW OGLEDRUMS Website! Please Read all of this welcome blog for very important information.

My name is LEE OGLETREE and the purpose of this web site is to tell you what I have to offer as a teacher and hopefully you can find some good free educational material from various web links as well. PLEASE NOTE, when reading any blog entry that I have posted depending on the length, only a portion of the blog will show up on the initial screen. Be sure and always click on the "read more" option to make sure you have read the complete blog.

Well, it is good to be back online!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that may come across this site that I have had some major technical difficulties and communication issues to get the site back online. Thanks to Sam for helping me out and getting it going again. If any ex or current students still want access to content pages and have forgotten passwords or would like to change it just let me know. If anyone is just passing through please drop me a line or email me if you have questions about lessons or just want to talk drums. I am still offering lessons and can be fairly flexible with scheduling.

GREAT LINKS for DRUM INFORMATION!

Dont forget that in addtion to the 'quick links' visible on the meun bar to the right, that there are many other GREAT links under the Info section and 'Links Resource'. I really researched and looked hard to provide drumming links on just about anything you need to know or can think of from education links to hand drumming and everything in between...ENJOY! -Lee-

PAST AND PRESENT STUDENTS, REFERENCES, AND GUESTBOOK

If anyone comes across this site and prefers leaving a message on my guestbook you can find it by clicking on the INFO section to your right on the menu bar. Click on Old News and there is a link there for the old guestbook or actually it is still functioning. I encourage students and potential students to read over some of the entries that have been left there over the years. Some of the entries are just personal greetings, but there are others that students have left comments about their experiences with taking lessons that might help give you some guidance.

Another GREAT JOB and Congratulations to the AJHS Band on their Spring Concert Performance and this is to all grades and Bands.

The Arab Junior High School Band Program is in good hands! Ms. Isom has done another excellent job in preparing these kids in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands and it showed with an awesome performance last Thursday May 14th. It is so good to know that our kids are in the presence of people that care and know what they are doing. Thanks to Ms.Isom (again), Mr. Tallent, and all the other people that helped in putting on the concert. I thought all the bands sounded superb and for any of you kids that might stumble across this and read this...please stick with the Band!

FORKS DRUM CLOSET

I am new to world of blogging but this is one place that I could blog, blog, blog, and blog some more on...it is Forks Drum Closet in Nashville Tennessee! If you are serious about your playing and getting the very best gear for your dollar, then you need to visit Forks. These guys and gals are truly professionals and they know what they are talking about. In a day where we see the gigantic music stores, Internet retail stores, etc... Forks is still standing and going strong. I am a little "ole school" when it comes to something that I like to do and really have a passion for.

Congratulations to the Arab Junior High and High School Students at Solo and Ensemble!

To all the students that participated in Solo and Ensemble at Jacksonville High School I salute you! From what I understand that was one of the largest groups that has participated in that event in a long time! I remember not to long ago, Solo and Ensemble had almost became a thing of the past, but after seeing the participation in yesterdays group, I am personally encouraged that it will just grow from now on. A personal THANK YOU to Ms. Isom for the hard work she has done and the encouragement of students to participate.
