Another GREAT JOB and Congratulations to the AJHS Band on their Spring Concert Performance and this is to all grades and Bands.

The Arab Junior High School Band Program is in good hands! Ms. Isom has done another excellent job in preparing these kids in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands and it showed with an awesome performance last Thursday May 14th. It is so good to know that our kids are in the presence of people that care and know what they are doing. Thanks to Ms.Isom (again), Mr. Tallent, and all the other people that helped in putting on the concert. I thought all the bands sounded superb and for any of you kids that might stumble across this and read this...please stick with the Band! There is so much potential and there will be so many awesome opportunities in the future for you guys and gals. If any of you are considering dropping band, give it a second thought. You are in the learning stage in Junior High and it can be tough at times, but the rewards will be worth sticking it out. We have a wonderful program and I feel like it is just going to get better and better in the future.

Thanks to the 7th grade Percussion section for the gift certificate to Applebees. It was my honor and pleasure to get to work with you the little bit of time that I did and I really enjoyed it, in addition to getting to know you all better. You have good talent as a group and you will just get better! Make a personal committment to getting better and practicing your instruments over the summer. Again, the more you grow and put into it the easier it will become...I promise you that. I wish you all a great summer and if any of you in the 7th grade percussion section would like to get with me for a 45 minute free lesson between now and next fall...just call me and we will set up a time.

Keep on Drumming!
