Will
Denton presented a marvelous drum clinic at First United
Methodist Church in Arab on Saturday May 25th. This is the
second time Will has come to Arab to do this and he did an
exceptional job again.
This year I decided to get the word out to as many churches
in the area as possible that might have drummer’s who
would be interested in coming. There were between 30 and 40
in attendance so the turn out was very good…especially
considering the short amount of time we had to organize the
event.
I will mention one thing that Will did this time around that
was very impressive and that was an acoustic style demonstration.
He used a Djembe, Conga, and various other percussive instruments
and showed awesome creativity using these instruments. The
clinic lasted approximately 2 hours and I do not believe anyone
left disappointed. Will is a fantastic drummer and is even
a better person. Thanks again Will for coming to Arab and
sharing your time and talent’s. It was much appreciated
and we hope to make this an annual event.
Also, a very special thanks to Anthony Wilson. Without his
help I don’t know if I could have pulled it off. He
did so much to help me in getting the word out and helping
out the day of the clinic. Thanks a lot Anthony for sacrificing
your time…I couldn’t have done it without you!
