Students at Solo and Ensemble

The Alabama Bandmaster’s Solo and Ensemble event was held on April 21st and six young men that I have been fortunate enough to work with prepared and performed various solos and duets. All six of these guys scored superior ratings on their prepared pieces and received medals. Here is a list of the guys that participated and won medals.

Also here is a picture of three of the guys that performed. I was especially proud of all three of these guys because of their age, and the difficulty of their solos that they prepared. The judge had really nice comments about all of them and their abilities. From left to right – Taylor Ogletree, Jacob Bradford, and Steven Bombino.
